Sweden, first nation with a sovereign cryptocurrency

We open this evening with a totally fascinating story: while everyone was waiting for China to be the first nation to launch a sovereign cryptocurrency, Sweden went ahead and done it.  The e-krona is currently being tested and Sweden’s central bank – the Riksbank – wants sending money to be “as easy as sending a text”.  About a two-minute read.  Comment: will 2020 be the year of the sovereign cryptocurrency?  Yup.  And we’ll likely see a wave of nations launching their own cryptocurrencies.
