Metamask collecting IPs

Comment: a wallet collecting and sending user IPs to an regulated third party is a manifest security risk, so I’ve stopped using Metamask. TBH, I only used it since I sell NFTs and Metamask was a convenient way to get paid. But it’s simply not worth the risk, so I VPNed to a US exit node, flushed my Metamask wallet to a hardware wallet, and uninstalled. And I’m not the only one to do so. WTH were they thinking? It’s likely they were planning to monetise IP data. Chumps.
