Fintech and Financial Inclusion
interesting and well research article reviewing the business activities of seven Fintechs which are increasing Financial Inclusion. About a four minute read.
Comment: the article omits any discussion of barriers to entry. Specifically, services offered by some of these Fintechs — e.g., Lemonade and Chime, for example — can easily be duplicated by an incumbent financial institution. And there are ample examples of this; about three months ago my bank in The UK started offering text notifications of money entering or leaving specific accounts. Perviously this was a serve service only Neobanks offered.
