Comment: this says a lot about America – I live in Europe and can’t remember the last time I wrote a cheque. Compare with my family back in The US who still engage. What AMEX really needs to do is move aggressively into payments, Wise has become a £6B company by focusing on payments. Instead AMEX is messing about with BNPL and checking accounts.
