Adoption rate of Python surges
Interesting article documenting how Python appears to be edging out Java in the banking sector. A telling quote from senior staff at JP Morgan: “Everyone at JPMorgan now needs to know Python and there are around 5,000 developers using it at Bank of America.”. About a six minute read.
Comment: the article talks only about the positives of Python, and neglects to address issues associated with interpreted code. In that compiled code is faster. Which is why banks still need Java, C++, etc developers.
