Breakthrough in Quantum Computing
was claimed by infinityQ, a Canadian startup, who have a cloud resident device, the infinityQube, available on an invitation only basis. About a one minute read.
Comment: ok, a couple points. First, their device is described as “quantum analogue” which is (perhaps intentionally) value. Computers are digital. We last used analogue computers in the 1960s. Not sure what this means. And second, they are claiming to accomplish quantum computing but without (their words) “the cryogenics tax” and suggest their prototype uses less energy than a lightbulb. I’ve got an open and hopeful mind, but until a third party examines that startups claims I’m a little dubious.
