Comment: The shift to late stage, larger funding reflects a mature industry, no longer dominated by start ups. We’ve seen this for perhaps two years now; much of the true innovation has been done — how many payment apps or Neobanks are needed anyhow? How can new entrants scale up when they’re fighting more mature startups for customers? They can’t. This is why we’re seeing the emergence of Embedded Finance.
