Comment: Given the present state of Regtech, arguing it’s essential is a bit of a stretch. What is essential is for startups to hire someone with knowledge of and a history of working and communicating with regulators. I’ve worked with regulators in both The US as well as The UK, and found them to be very accommodating; IF you speak their language.
